Hosts Len and Bobbie Cross were introduced to the house concert concept through their dear friends Steve and Kay Coccia who created the not-for-profit, Friends of Music venue in Middletown, NY where they present the Mansion House Series of concerts.

The concept for our shows has been to identify emerging singer-songwriters and to present them in an environment that is comfortable, relaxed and intimate. By including food and drink, the shows become a social interaction with the artist rather than a one-way presentation.

Typically, we present our concerts on a Sunday afternoon. Guests arrive at 1pm. We mingle and enjoy whatever snacks and deserts guests have brought with them. The first set runs from 2 until 2:45 at which point we break with the artist to finish up whatever is left of the goodies. Break is followed by the second set which generally ends around 4pm.

Proceeds from the admissions are used entirely to cover the artists' fees along with promotion and presentation costs. We receive the pleasure of supporting some amazing artists and the added pleasure of sharing these performers with other music lovers.
